Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía

Museum of art contemporary from the 20th century and, located in the old General Hospital of Madrid, large neoclassical building of the eighteenth century, initially designed by José de Hermosilla and continued by Francesco Sabatini. It houses works by artists such as Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí and Joan Miró being one of the most visited museums in the world.

Domes of the Cloister of the Sabatini Building

The museum wanted to renew the lighting of the vaults of the cloister of the Sabatini Building. By illuminating the vaults, we managed to give the space height and solemnity, we emphasized the original architecture and created a rhythm that invites us to circulate quietly through the cloister.

SPT 95

Sakma has contributed to the project by designing and manufacturing a special projector for this space: the SPT 95. Thanks to a filter, the beam of light tilts up to 20 ° to focus on the vaults without the need to tilt the spotlight. It has a support that adapts perfectly to the columns through a 90 ° anchor.
